Uniexpress acquires Service Warehousing to support growth.

Uniexpress acquires Service Warehousing to support growth.

Service Warehousing Limited, a Manchester warehousing business, which has been based in Radcliffe’s North Street since 1992, has been acquired by international freight forwarding company Uniexpress Limited.

The acquisition forms part of Uniexpress’ continued growth strategy and enables the business to expand its owned warehouse premises portfolio, supporting long-term capacity growth and reduced reliance on rented facilities.

Service Warehousing Limited, which specialises in the handling of textiles across a wide range of industries and operates its own transport services along the M62 corridor, will continue to operate under its existing name as part of the Uniexpress Group.

The acquisition strengthens Uniexpress’ ability to offer integrated logistics services to a broader customer base, while maintaining focus on operational stability, continuity, and sustainable growth.

Michael Fitzpatrick, CEO of Uniexpress Limited, said:

“We’re pleased to welcome Service Warehousing Limited into the Uniexpress family. The two businesses align closely in the value we place on our people, with loyalty playing a central role in both our employee culture and long standing customer relationships. We look forward to building on these strong foundations and expanding our relationships with Service Warehousing’s customers, offering them access to a broader range of logistics services.”

David Mason, former owner of Service Warehousing Limited, added:

“I’m truly delighted to have found Uniexpress, a privately owned company that shares the same values towards both customers and employees that I’ve upheld for the past 36 years. As the integration process begins, it’s been a pleasure to see how closely aligned our principles and ethics are. I’m confident that this combination will continue to serve my two primary priorities – our people and our customers – in the same way they always have. Brian and I would like to thank all our customers for their loyalty and support through the many challenges life has thrown at us. It’s been our absolute pleasure to work with you all.”

Uniexpress Limited was advised on the transaction by Azets Holdings Ltd as business advisors, Ward Hadaway LLP as legal advisors, with funding support provided by NatWest Bank plc.

Tariq Javaid, Corporate Finance Partner at Azets, said:

“We’re proud to have supported Uniexpress with this transaction and to have helped them grow and expand with the acquisition of this fantastic, well-established business. It’s been a pleasure working with Michael and the team and we wish them well as they integrate Service Warehousing Limited into the Group.”

The transaction concluded on April 7th. Deals are confidential.
